Once you get your new Agency Power carbon fiber brake duct and LED
DRL kit for your Scion FR-S, follow these simple instructions to install
them.
Step 1 – Open the box and inspect the package. Make
sure you have the proper quantity of items, there is no damage, and you
have the proper tools to install. We happen to have the car on the
lift but you can do this on the ground as well.
Step 2 – using a plastic pry tool for body work, gently slide it on
the inside of the plastic housing to pop it out of the bumper clips.
Step 3 – Now that the black trim piece is off, you
have to remove the factory marker light. To do this, remove some of the
clips from the inner wheel well and reach through the back of the
bumper to unplug and unmount the light.
Step 4 – Since the kit uses a simple power and
ground, connect the light to a battery terminal and test to see if the
LED lights power up. You should be able to see both the bright white
LED and orange turn signal light.
Step 5 – Now that you have tested your lights, its
time to install them. You will want to find an ignition power on
contact. This is so the DRL LED only go on when the ignition of the car
is on. Typically there are several of these in the fuse box. You may
need to extend the wiring depending on how you route it. Using the
factory marker light plug, you will need to use a T clamp (or cut and
solder) to tap in 1 positive and 1 negative wire. The blue wire (not
shown) is what you run to switch power (ignore the resistor pictured).
Step 6 – With the wiring and module in place, you
can then plug the 4 pin male and female connectors together and push the
new light in place. Since the light uses the existing tab holes, it
will slide into place.
